IPC Navigation

The German Patent and Trade Mark Office’s IPC application will make your searches even more efficient.

Features include:

  • Flexible search fields: You can add custom search fields and search specifically for IPC symbols, search terms or cross-references.
  • Comparison view: You can compare different versions and languages side by side.
  • Optimised results list: Results are sorted by main groups and displayed with detailed title information. The hierarchical structure can also be visualised on request.
  • Clarity: The directory view always displays all sections – from the main groups down to the subclasses. This ensures the structure is always visible.
  • Maximum point hierarchy: You can display the maximum point hierarchy for the selected IPC item.

The IPC application is available in DEPATISnet and DPMAregister.
