Accelerated procedure

We can process your application particularly fast if the following requirements are fulfilled:

• You request accelerated examination: Simply tick the box in section 7 on the application form. Please note: special fee of EUR 200.
• You pay the fees by direct debiting mandate (without exhausting the time limit for payment).
• You draft list of goods and services with the help of our Suchmaschine (search engine). It is a comprehensive collection where you will quickly find all allowable terms and wordings. You can enter individual words ("computer") or parts of words ("solar ...") or numbers of classes ("35") in the search field.

Applications filed electronically (DPMAdirekt) will also be processed faster. Particular advantage in this case: You will receive the relevant file number immediately after receipt of the application. DPMAdirekt can only be used with a signature card.

The registration procedure is usually concluded after 7 to 8 months. If you file a request for accelerated examination (section 7 on the application form), registration of a protectable trade mark takes place in less than 6 months from filing the application.

This may be of interest to you if you intend to also register your trade mark internationally, for example, as international registration. The accelerated examination is subject to a fee of EUR 200.
