Nice Classification, 10th edition, version 2013 (NCL(10-2013))

This search function only provides the option to search for terms of goods and services that you need for your trade mark application.

If you file an application for a national trade mark at the DPMA, please note:
You have to compile the ("grouped") list of goods and/or services, arranged by classes, in ascending numerical order, using the terms contained in the German language version of the search engine.

Search in two files

This search function allows you to search in two files:

The German language list of terms of goods and services which may generally be accepted by the German Patent and Trade Mark Office. The search is conducted by default in this file.
The list of German, English and French terms of the 10th edition of the International Classification of Nice. If you wish to search in this file you must tick the field "multiple language version (WIPO)" before the search.

Tip: Enter short words or parts of words in the search field to return as many terms as possible that are relevant to you. The search term "werb", for example, will return "Werbung" as well as "Werbeartikel" and also "Dienstleistungen einer Werbeagentur". Furthermore, it may sometimes be helpful to enter a superordinate term (for example, "internet" or "edv").
