Design protection at the European and international level

Europe-wide design protection

The Community design is valid throughout the European Union. Information on the Community design is available on the homepage of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM).

International applications

By filing one application you can have your design protected in several countries party to the Hague Agreement.
You must file the international application with the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). An earlier national application is not necessary.
