Electronic case file - ElSA

On 1 June 2011, the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) started processing patent, utility model, topography and supplementary protection certificate files fully electronically, from the application to the publication.

The changeover on 1 June 2011 had required complex preparatory measures at the DPMA aimed at making the transition to end-to-end electronic processing as smooth as possible.
